About the Role :
As a Federal Practice Manager at Confluent, you will lead a team of professional services consultants who work with our customers to ensure their success with Confluent's products.
You will be responsible for driving adoption and consumption, achieving customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and team growth and development.
You will engage across the Public Sector customer lifecycle from pre-sales through delivery to align business outcomes, clear success criteria, and customer success.
Overall, the ideal candidate for this role should have a strong track record of delivering high-quality professional services to Public Sector customers and experience in leading and developing a high-performing team.
They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong project management skills, and a deep understanding of enterprise architecture, data and systems integration, and data stream processing markets.
What You Will Do :
Drive success with Confluent Professional Services Public Sector customers across the customer base in collaboration with software sales teams.
Own the services sales strategy to achieve bookings, revenue, margin and utilization goals.
- Engage with customer organizations from C-level / VP to Architects and program managers. Build initial services direction, oversee customer success and satisfaction, and contribute to the account and regional growth.
- Ensure successful project delivery to earn our customers’ love. Resolve delivery challenges, address resource contentions, and manage expectations.
- Build a great team and company. Help to develop strong relationships, capabilities, and experience among Confluent team members.
- Participate in Confluent product and sales strategy for the customers in your region.
- Strengthen Confluent success across your customer base by developing strong delivery partner executive relationships and awareness of partner delivery capabilities.
What You Will Bring :
- Professional Services leadership background implementing SaaS / PaaS / IaaS
- Experience overseeing enterprise-level IT delivery projects (7+ years or equivalent capability).
- Experience selling enterprise IT delivery services (2+ years or equivalent capability).
- Demonstrated success in building and developing remote delivery teams including resource management, performance assessment, and career / growth planning.
- The role is primarily customer-facing and candidates need exceptional interpersonal communications capabilities. They travel to customer sites and lead engagements that include working with business executives, enterprise architects and engineering / design management personnel from the customer.
- Ability (and willingness) to travel as required (estimated 25%) of the time to client sites to support sales opportunities and existing customer relationships.
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or above

This position has an annual estimated salary of $128,700 - $151,200, a competitive equity package and is also eligible for additional commission and / or bonus pay.
