Weare seeking an entry level Protection & Control DesignEngineer who willbe primarily responsible for a wide variety of transmissiongeneration and distribution projects involving protection andcontrol and physical design drawings.
These include protection andcontrol and physical design projects that range from newsubstations to brownfield installations.
This position will beresponsible for working independently as well as within a team tocomplete all projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Beresponsible for the design and quality control of system protectionand control projects for utility substations. This includesonelines threelines AC / DC schematics wiring diagrams panel layoutsbill of materialetc.
- Beresponsible for the design and quality control of physical designprojects for utility substations. This includes electrical plansand profiles grounding plans and details conduit and racewaylayouts / details / schedules Bills of Material and calculations suchas voltage drop conduit fill breaker sizingetc.
- Interfacewith internal and external team members such as Principal EngineersProject Engineers Electrical Designers Physical Designers DraftsmenProject Managers outside contractors and supportorganizations.
- Workwith a team to meet project specifications cost control andscheduleobjectives.
- Interactwith clients and take a leadership role in assigned aspects of theprojects.
- Beinvolved with project site evaluations and preparing engineeringscope.
REQUIREDEDUCATION &SKILLS
- Abilityto recognize relay onelines threelines control schematics wiringdiagramsetc.
- Abilityto travel up to 10%.
- Excellentinterpersonal oral and written communication skills.
- Strongcomputer and software skills.
- Exceptionalorganizationalskills .
- Highattention to detail.
- B.S.in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Minimumof 1 year related industry experiencepreferred.
