Position Summary

Join our dynamic team as an Academic Human Resources Analyst. In this role, you'll provide vital administrative support to our HR team and faculty, leveraging your knowledge of academic personnel and payroll policies.

Salary & Compensation

UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in HR and / or Payroll (Preferred)
  • Administrative experience (Preferred)
  • Customer Service experience (Required)
  • Working knowledge of UC Recruit, OPUS and Interfolio to process academic personnel cases (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of University academic personnel policies and practices, including relevant collective bargaining agreements (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated skill in using UCPath to input staff and academic personnel actions correctly and in a timely manner (Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of various UCLA online systems like BruinBuy Plus, Concur to process reimbursements, purchase orders, travel arrangements (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of University policies regarding purchase orders, reimbursements, travel arrangements, etc. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of policies relating to foreign visitors, visa regulations (Preferred)
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, active listening, and critical thinking to to communicate effectively with all levels of faculty, staff, students, and the general public verbally and in writing, including those that are hostile and sensitive (Required)
  • Ability to use sound judgement in responding to issues and concerns. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. (Required)
  • Thorough knowledge in administrative procedures and processes including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. (Required)
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. (Required)
  • Time management skills. Prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely and accurate manner (Required)
  • Proofreading skills. Editing correspondence, reports, notes, etc. for correct grammar, spelling and punctuation (Required)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience / training (Required)

  • Background Check : Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation.
  • Live Scan Background Check : A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment.
  • Age Requirement : Candidate(s) must be 18 years or older to be eligible to be hired.
