We’re seeking a Kitchen Supervisor who is ready to roll up their sleeves and lead our kitchen to greatness!
What You'll Do :
Lead the Team : Oversee and inspire our back-of-house team. Manage scheduling, training, and performance to ensure everyone is working towards a common goal.
Mentor your team on the art of cooking, portion control, and presentation standards.
Maintain Culinary Excellence : Conduct regular taste tests and visual inspections to ensure our dishes meet the highest standards.
Monitor food quality and consistency to keep our guests coming back for more.
Ensure Cleanliness and Safety : Uphold impeccable standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and service areas.
Ensure that equipment and employee appearances reflect our commitment to quality.
- Manage Inventory and Costs : Forecast and manage food inventory efficiently. Ensure that all food deliveries meet our quality standards, and handle invoices and storage with precision.
- Champion Brand Standards : Represent the Gyu-Kaku brand with pride. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain our reputation for excellence.
What We’re Looking For :
- Experience and Expertise : Minimum of 2 years as a kitchen supervisor in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant. Experience in an Asian tabletop BBQ concept is a major plus!
- Culinary Skills : Strong understanding of food costs, scheduling, purchasing, labor cost control, and presentation. Proficiency in food safety and sanitation is essential.
- Leadership and Communication : Exceptional leadership, motivational, and people skills. Proficiency in English / Spanish is a bonus.
- Flexibility : Must be available to work varied hours, including nights, weekends,
and holidays as needed.
Certifications : Food Manager Certified or Food Handlers Certified.
