Merchandise Planner

Adecco Creative and Marketing has partnered with a fashion house to hire a Merch Planner for their In-Store Walmart Business .

This position is hybrid in Secaucus, NJ. You will be onsite 4 days per week and WFH on Fridays. The pay for this position is $90,000-$110,000.

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Planner will provide key data and analytics of performance within product categories across our Walmart private label brands.

Utilizing product performance data, the Planner will provide key information to the support successful growth and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Creating and maintaining a 13-month rolling forecast; minimizing excess inventory

• Work closely with the VP of Planning to ensure all opportunity and liability are addressed
• Set top line revenue targets and provides financial planning guidance for all buys to ensure proper penetration by product category
• Partner with VP of Planning to ensure forecasts support the retail & ecommerce financial flow
• Make additional recommendations to address product gaps and / or discrepancies
• Monitor ongoing demand planning and inventory needs for retail & ecommerce business
• Responsible for all reporting, including weekly top-line selling performance, ladder plans, production plans
• Compile style / color / size-level selling data for use in merchandising and inventory planning exercises
• Provide ongoing analysis and ad hock sales reporting to assist in deep diving of current program selling
• Work closely with cross-functional partners (sales, design, warehouse, and production) to accurately forecast retail & ecommerce inventory, revenues, returns, promotions, markdowns, etc.
• Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, establish action plans, and follow-up
• Manage budget process including product mix, budget category ratios and flow by month, including monthly forecasts of key replenishment programs
• Manage inventory from investment through execution, including ongoing assessments and updates to inventory levels for retail, ecommerce, and wholesale businesses, models, release strategies, and recommendations of future receipts
• Assist in tracking inventory and shipping status for on time delivery both to the DC and to Walmart. Liaison between NJ and Tifton / Fontana.

Work closely with production and logistics.

• Develop and execute size, pack, and size balancing strategies
• Ability to monitor and minimize OTIF charges
• Ensure all new programs initial sets and ongoing replenishment customer orders have high fill rates and arrive on time in store

REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Previous experience in merchandise planning and allocation (Walmart knowledge preferred)
• Retail Math proficiency a must
• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
• Strong analytical skills, motivated, proactive, and highly organized
• Team player and problem solver with ability to reach supported conclusions and make robust recommendations in a demanding deadline driven environment
