Pay Rate : $18.04 + differential for 2nd shift.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE :

Responsible for ensuring that all food quality processes support the company’s compliance with food safety standards. 2nd shift : 3 : 00pm-2 : 00am (or until done)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION :

  • Provide production support in all aspects of the Dole quality process
  • Do quality checks including : bag seal, oxygen level, proportions, bag weight, raw materials check, and finished goods check
  • Check equipment to verify accuracy
  • Maintain reports and system log entries
  • Complete food safety checks to meet all critical control points
  • Place and remove Hold statuses as required for raw, in-process, and finished goods
  • Any and all other duties assigned by your Supervisor

Required Skills

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES :

  • SKILLS : Good oral communication skills required.
  • ADDITIONAL : Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment. Required to work independently and with limited supervision.

Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules / procedures.

Must be flexible with the ability to work any shift as work load demands.

PHYSIC AL REQUIREMENTS :

Work is performed in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees F. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia is present.

Work surfaces and floors may be wet. Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs unassisted up to 1 / 3 of the workday, and 6 lbs overhead as job demands.

Constant standing on a concrete floor, reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements may be required. Moving machinery, including conveyor and forklifts are in operation in the immediate area.

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS :

Ability to work overtime as needed. Some weekends are required. No travel.

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION :

  • EXPERIENCE : Previous experience in a food processing facility is required.
  • EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION : HS Diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
