Salary : $18.00 - $22.84 per hour

Here at AmeriGuard Security we are looking for Armed and Unarmed Security Officer. This position is responsible for deterring criminal activity by adhering to a facility’s security measures.

Their duties include reviewing video surveillance equipment to identify odd behaviors, patrolling the interior and exterior of a property in set intervals and only providing property access to authorized individuals.

We are seeking candidates who are ready to embark in a career in Security. Our Security Officers are motivated, with great customer service skills and a passion for protecting our team members, clients and assets.

Attention : Anyone with a NEW Guard, and Limited experience, we want you. After 6 months of employment with AmeriGuard, we will reimburse you for the cost of your Guard Card.

To be successful as a security guard you must be alert and professional. A good security guard is aware of all visitors to the property and ensures that no inappropriate actions take place.

Unarmed Guard :

• Inspecting and patrolling premises regularly.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Communicating with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical personnel.
• Monitoring public access and ensuring the security of all personnel and visitors.
• Responding to alarms and analyzing security footage.
• Investigating suspicious behavior, incidents, and security breaches.
• Apprehending trespassers and perpetrators.
• Maintaining an activity log and preparing surveillance reports.
• Adhering to company policies and legal regulations.

Requirements :

• Valid Driver's License with No Major Incidents within the last 5 years
• High school diploma / GED.
• Registered as a security officer.
• Outstanding surveillance and observation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to exercise good judgment.
• Strong reporting skills.
• Working knowledge of public safety, security operations, and procedures.
• Knowledge of state laws and regulations.
• Trained in First Aid and self-defense.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current BSIS Security Guard License
• Valid California Driver’s License

Schedule :

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Sunday - Night shift - Overnight shift - Overtime - Weekend availability a must

Ability to commute / relocate :

Fresno, CA 93722 : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

CPR / First Aid certified (strongly preferred)

Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
