Who You Are :

As the Health Information Analyst for Catholic Medical Center (CMC), you’re a detail-oriented and organized individual who takes pride in ensuring accuracy and completeness in all tasks.

You have a strong understanding of medical record documentation and are familiar with healthcare systems and protocols. With a background in an office setting, you thrive in environments where precision and efficiency are key.

You're also a great communicator, able to work well with various teams and handle interruptions with grace.

This is a benefitted, part-time (20 hours / week) position : Monday : 8 : 00-3 : 30pm, Tuesday : 8 : 00-3 : 30pm, Wednesday : 8 : 00-1 : 30pm

What You’ll Do

As part of our Health Information Management team at Catholic Medical Center, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our patients’ health records.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Collect discharged patient information for patient care units and organize it into the correct chart order.
  • Create new folders, assign encounters, and enter names for newborns into our computer system.
  • Review discharge records and electronic health records for completeness and authentication, assigning deficiencies as needed.
  • Perform quality assurance audits and participate in special projects as directed.
  • Use our computer systems to retrieve missing patient information and update record locations.

What You’ll Bring

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of experience in an office setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in organizing and managing detailed records.
  • Ability to work with computer systems and handle small print records.
  • Strong physical capabilities to move about and handle files.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues, physicians, and other departments.
  • Resilience and adaptability to handle frequent interruptions and unexpected situations.
  • A proactive approach to learning and attending educational seminars.
