Reports to : VP of Sales + Inside Sales Representatives
Length of Internship : Fall 2024 - January 10, 2025 There is a potential for this internship to be renewed on January 10th as a Gameday Sales, Marketing, or Operations Intern for the 2025 Mojo Season.
Type of Internship : This internship is unpaid and is meant for students that will receive school credit and / or volunteers that look to build upon their resumes.
Role and Responsibilities : This position provides hands-on experience representing and selling the Mojo brand to the San Diego Community and mentorship from experienced pro sports professionals.
Sales Activation Interns support business prospecting and outreach through community events and collaborating on new sales initiatives under the supervision of the Sales Department.
Sales Interns may carry out the following duties :
- Community Events-
- Conducting market research to identify potential customers and organizational opportunities
- Communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Collaborating with the sales team to develop and execute sales activation strategies, and selling the Mojo brand through conversation and sales booth activation at community event appearances
- Utilizing CRM systems to track interactions and maintain records
- Participation in sales meetings in preparation for community events to enhance knowledge, skills, and understanding
Requirements :
- Preferably business / communications major
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Enthusiasm for sports and an interest in the female-sports industry
- Volleyball / sports knowledge not required

Founded in 2023, San Diego Mojo Professional Women’s Volleyball is one of eight teams (San Diego; Las Vegas; Orlando; Atlanta;
Columbus, OH; Omaha; Grand Rapids) to compete in the Pro Volleyball Federation’s inaugural season in 2024. Indianapolis joins the league to make eight (8) teams in 2025.
