The Travel Office is offering an opportunity for one (1) qualified individual at either the GS 12 level to serve on a full-time, 120-day temporary promotion to the GS 13 or qualified individual at the GS 13 level to serve on a full-time, 120-day temporary detail (no promotion) to undescribed duties in the Accounting Operations Division.

The Accounting OperationsDivision (AOD) processes travel documents, provides travel support for international and domestic travel, processes accounts payable, and administers the purchase and travel card programs.

The position is located in the Travel Office, Accounting Operations Division, Financial Services Directorate within the Office of the Chief Operating Officer and reports to the Travel Office supervisor.

Travel Office Support

The detailee will perform duties in support of the Travel Office. These duties include but are not limited to :

  • E2 Solutions system administration tasks;
  • Travel document review and approvals;
  • Assisting with establishing relocation policy at the Library;
  • E2 Solutions help desk support and training;
  • Assisting with payment processing for passport applications;
  • Travel newsletter preparation;
  • General Travel Office support; and
  • Travel CBA account reconciliation.

The detailee will use sound judgement in performing analytical work, use innovative business practices and techniques, use automated financial and travel systems and provide excellent customer service to our program offices and cross service agencies.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

  • Permanent, full-time employees of the Library of Congress.
  • Have at least 3 years performing travel administration tasks.
  • Proficient in the use of Momentum and E2 solutions.
  • Experience using MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum grade to be considered is GS-12.
  • Employees in good standing with at least a Satisfactory / Successful performance rating.
