Phlebotomist (Full-Time)

Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time phlebotomist to represent Orion Laboratories to patients and clients. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills for interacting with clients, management, and other team members.
This role involves working in various settings, such as patient service centers, nursing homes, clinics, and family medicine practices, throughout the week.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collect and organize blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples from patients of all age ranges
- Ensure samples are appropriately labeled for routine testing and analysis
- Accurately enter patient data, order, and specimen details into the system
- Monitor inventory and manage supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Package specimens for transport
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service to patients and clients
Required Qualifications :
- Venipuncture experience
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in email communication and basic computer functions
- Licensure - National phlebotomy certification required; Louisiana state phlebotomy certification preferred but not mandatory
- All candidates must pass a background check in compliance with Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) guidelines, particularly for positions in nursing homes or other monitored healthcare facilities
Preferred Qualifications :
Phlebotomy : 2 years’ experience
License / Certification :
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Required)
Schedule : Monday through Friday
Shifts : 4 : 30 AM-1 : 30 PM; or 8 : 00 AM-5 : 00 PM with additional hours optional
Job Type : Full-Time
Pay : $16.00 / hour
Expected hours : 30 40 per week
