Qualifications

Bachelor and / or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture with fifteen plus (15+) years of relevant professional experience.

  • Demonstrated success in business development
  • Excellent working knowledge of landscape construction documents
  • Proficient experience with CAD, Photoshop, and Sketch-Up
  • Ability to demonstrate strong design and construction administration skills
  • Independent thought and decision-making capability
  • Possess management and supervisory skills
  • Working knowledge of accounting principals
  • Adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients and public agencies as well as in-house professional peers
  • Local experience strongly preferred

California registration is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision of staff (including daily assignments of work, review of work, quality control)
  • Ability to prepare cost estimates
  • Assist in graphic presentations
  • Understanding of design principles
  • Management of project schedules and budgets
  • Preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work
  • Significant client and public-agency interactions
  • Manage large and complex projects

Business Development Responsibilities

  • Increase brand recognition and financial growth
  • Preparation of public proposals including project vision and approach
  • Maximize client contacts throughout the development industry
  • Attend conferences, meetings and industry events
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
  • Develop goals for business growth and ensure they are met
  • Ability to be proactive and flourish with minimal guidance
