Qualifications
Bachelor and / or Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture with fifteen plus (15+) years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated success in business development
- Excellent working knowledge of landscape construction documents
- Proficient experience with CAD, Photoshop, and Sketch-Up
- Ability to demonstrate strong design and construction administration skills
- Independent thought and decision-making capability
- Possess management and supervisory skills
- Working knowledge of accounting principals
- Adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients and public agencies as well as in-house professional peers
- Local experience strongly preferred
California registration is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision of staff (including daily assignments of work, review of work, quality control)
- Ability to prepare cost estimates
- Assist in graphic presentations
- Understanding of design principles
- Management of project schedules and budgets
- Preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work
- Significant client and public-agency interactions
- Manage large and complex projects
Business Development Responsibilities
- Increase brand recognition and financial growth
- Preparation of public proposals including project vision and approach
- Maximize client contacts throughout the development industry
- Attend conferences, meetings and industry events
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
- Develop goals for business growth and ensure they are met
- Ability to be proactive and flourish with minimal guidance
