Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee communications and marketing to prospective students including developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies to reach prospective graduate students through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, text messaging and collaborations with academic departments.
- Play a significant role in building and ensuring graduate recruitment website and related online platforms are user-friendly, informative, and visually appealing;
provide easy access to important information for prospective students.
- Avenue to receive inquiries through hosted events and recruitment fairs attended by Graduate College staff and / or college / departments.
- Partner with the Graduate College Office of Diversity and Inclusion to create targeted outreach to underrepresented groups and those participating in undergraduate research experiences within the University of Arizona and across the country.
- Designing strategies to convert admitted students into enrolled students. This could involve personalized communication, virtual welcome events, connecting admitted students with current students and alumni, and hosting the admitted student portal, GradStart.
- Coordinate and interact with a wide variety of constituents across the University including collaborating closely with academic departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date information about programs, research opportunities, faculty expertise, and funding options;
build recruitment efforts strategy and goals to ensure success and communication to students and stakeholders on each department's unique offerings.
- Develop and implement user agreements with colleges - customized agreements based on college's needs & available resources.
- Act as liaison and strategic partner to colleges and programs related to activities in Grad Slate to support colleges in their recruitment efforts.
- Meet with colleges annually to review Slate opportunities and User Agreements Partners with training specialist in EMSC to develop training modules for Grade Slate.
- Supervise, train, and lead the Graduate Recruitment and Enrollment Initiatives team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) :
- In-depth understanding of the strategies and practices involved in graduate student recruitment and enrollment, including market trends and demographics.
- Familiarity with data-driven decision-making processes, including the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform strategies.
- Knowledge of CRM tools, particularly Slate or similar systems, used for managing recruitment and enrollment activities.
- Strong skills in developing, executing, and assessing strategic plans for recruitment and enrollment.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including academic departments, prospective students, and external partners.
- Ability to develop creative solutions and strategies to attract and enroll graduate students.
- Ability to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-informed adjustments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
