Summary
Come join our family and grow with us. We are seeking someone who enjoys working with children and has strong leadership skills.
Looking for a Head Teacher to join our organization! This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children as well as help other staff to build their curriculum for their rooms.
Employe will help to review curriculum as well as plan curriculum trainings to ensure it is meeting the standards for each classroom.
Duties
Responsibilities :
- Build curriculum to meet developmental standards
- review classrooms curriculum
- Help train staff to understand the curriculum
- Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
- Help students prepare for Kindergarten by helping them meet and master developmental goals
Requirements
Qualifications :
- Must be at least 20 yrs of age
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Must be reliable and flexible / have transportation
- Passionate about working with children
- Ability to build rapport with children families
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Clean and organized
Nice To Haves
Head teacher certificate, CDA (Child development associate) certification or 12 credits in early childhood / child development along with 9 months experience (1080 hours of time worked) preferred
