ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
The Nursing and Health Studies department at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for an Assistant Teaching Professor position in Nursing.
The successful applicant will contribute to an academic unit which embraces a team-based approach and innovative teaching methods to develop students who can think critically while delivering high quality care.
This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay's mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.
This position includes the following responsibilities :
- Facilitate optimal learning through integration of technology and utilization of appropriate delivery methods.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with acute and long-term care healthcare clinical sites.
- Contribute to the ongoing programmatic development of the Nursing & Health Studies programs.
- Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds at UW-Green Bay.

QUALIFICATIONS :
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Earned Master's Degree in Nursing, from an accredited institution prior to start date. Individuals enrolled in a MSN program and completing the final program requirements may be considered.
- 2 years of recent nursing experience
- Unencumbered Wisconsin Nursing license at time of hire
- Working knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Teaching experience, preferably in nursing
- Recent clinical nursing experience with preference given for experience in medical surgical nursing, maternity, pediatrics, critical care, or community health.
