Construction Estimator
Direct Hire / Full Time
Location : Metro Detroit, MI (Travel throughout Michigan and other states required)
Multiple Positions Includes MEP and Steel Estimator Positions

Overview :
We're seeking a Construction Estimator to manage estimating and preconstruction for manufacturing, power, and energy projects.
Utilize your analytical skills to plan and estimate work, lead hard bids, and negotiate proposals, enjoying autonomy backed by a responsive and collaborative team.
Responsibilities :
- Review proposal specs, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work
- Prepare trade scopes of work and solicit project-specific proposals from subcontractors and suppliers
- Evaluate proposals for completeness and competitiveness and recommend best value solutions
- Establish positive relationships with stakeholders and negotiate and issue subcontracts
- Assist in estimating / pricing change orders and facilitate resolution of contractual issues
- Work with the Proposal Coordinator to develop complete professional proposals
- Develop conceptual proposals to support business development and client maintenance
Requirements :
- 7+ years of industrial estimating experience (ex. automotive, aerospace, energy, etc.)
- Strong conceptual estimating, estimating techniques, and cost control experience
- Ability to prepare proposals autonomously and collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software
Bonus / Nice to Have :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- Experience with On-Screen Takeoff and / or MC2 type software preferred
- Also, looking for construction focused MEP or steel estimators (multiple positions)
