The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Project Manager for supporting our CAISO project teams within our Automation Integration and System Protection (AISP) department.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, control, and close-out of complex, multi-discipline projects.

The successful candidate must have exceptional communication and leadership skills and possess the ability to successfully navigate through and resolve complex and oftentimes multi-functional challenges associated with large projects.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic project management leadership for metering, RIG and NRI projects
  • Responsible for the overall management of the project scope, schedule and cost
  • Accountable for key project decision making
  • Manages a collaborative project team to ensure each key functional project discipline is meeting the planned project scope, schedule and cost
  • Lead overall project - coaching, conflict resolution, facilitation, motivation and negotiation
  • Responsible for leading project meetings
  • Point person for contract negotiation and management
  • Accountable to develop, update and manage the project plan
  • Coordinate communication and provides status updates to stakeholders as required
  • Assess project risk and proactively develop mitigation plans
  • Proactively manages project requests for information and action items
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Coordinator to ensure project schedules and costs are managed and tracking to plan
  • Ensure availability or seeks out adequate resources to support the project
  • Proficient in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations to support project scope, schedule and cost objectives
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, verbal / written communications, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Maintains customer focus to meet or exceed customer expectations and represent Ulteig in a professional and courteous manner

What We Expect from You

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field preferred or relevant experience
  • PMP Certification Preferred.
  • 5 or more years of CAISO and / or project management experience is preferred
  • New Resource Implementation (NRI) experience preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Project
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Dynamics and Project)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Demonstrate the ability to be organized and work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities
  • Must be able to prepare clear and concise status updates and reports as required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including conflict negotiation / resolution and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to Safety policies
  • Ensure adherence to client's Quality Control and Quality Assurance programs
  • Report, track, and resolve non-conformance issues in coordination with QA / QC
  • Must have permanent work authorization for the US

Additional Opportunity Details :

Target Base Compensation Range for this role is $102,900 - $139,200

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and will continue to be posted for an average of 60 days until a qualified applicant is selected or the position has been cancelled.
