Position Summary :
The Public Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of public accounting within our firm.
This role is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience by assisting and supporting the firm’s internal teams, learning the daily operations of a public accounting firm, and conducting research on accounting standards and regulations.
This position offers a unique opportunity to develop both technical and soft skills, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and explore potential career paths in accounting.
Responsibilities / Learning Objections
- Assist and support internal departments, which include, Audit, Tax, or Forensic, Litigation & Valuation, with day-to-day tasks.
- Develop knowledge in working for a public accounting firm and within a team environment.
- Gain hands on experience with learning different accounting software’s.
- Provide administrative support to the firm’s internal teams.
- Develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications :
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Masters).
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to different tasks and challenges.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and carry office supplies and equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Manual dexterity required for operating office equipment (e.g., computers, printers).
