Job Overview : This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Talent Acquisition team in recruiting and sourcing new candidate leads through strategic and diverse candidate sourcing.
As a member of the Talent Acquisition (TA) Team, the Talent Acquisition Scout (Scout) role is responsible for finding and attracting the best passive talent leads to the Mystic Lake Casino & Hotel and the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) by understanding our strategic talent needs, possessing detailed geographic, market and functional expertise, building relationships with sourcing leads and serving as a candidate advocate during the initial talent acquisition phase.
The Scout position will also have a direct influence on improving and maintaining a superior candidate experience. This position will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support external talent pipelining and bench strength.
This individual will also support initiatives and projects for process improvement, innovative solutions, and diversity recruiting strategies.

6 years of professional experience in a talent / recruitment function or 3+ years of sourcing experience in a corporate recruiting function, professional search, or agency staffing environment including several
of the following : executive / professional pipeline developmentcold calling sourcingsourcing for hard-to-fill / high-volume rolesuse / knowledge of assessment tools and strategiescandidate and / or company marketing / brandingsocial networking and other internet channelsemployment market researchanalysis and implementation of new sourcing tools and methods

- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Must possess a disciplined work style with the ability to show comparable urgency with proactive work as with deadline-driven work.
- Experienced and knowledgeable with social media tools and other internet employment advertising and networking tools with an emphasis on diversity recruiting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive internet research experience.
- Technical experience with MS Office, Internet tools, ATS, HRIS, and systems.
- High level of initiative with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Job Duties :
Searches traditional job boards, ATS and aggressively identified new ways to search for talent within a dedicated geographical and / or functional focus.
Generates sourcing leads through associations, groups, schools, etc. to be used to ensure we provide a diverse slate of candidates for all levels throughout the organization.
- In partnership with TA and HR leaders, develop, implement (and adjust as needed) sourcing strategy that is aligned with the overall TA strategy.
- Monitor related analytics such as conversion rates, passive candidate engagement, number of candidates sourced, passive candidate progression through recruitment funnel etc.
- Build and maintain a talent pool for anticipated / future hiring needs.
- Serves as an SME to talent acquisition, HR, and Enterprise partners while successfully utilizing innovative sourcing strategies (i.
e., internet, social media, networking, pipelining, advertising, and job postings). Regularly identifies and incorporates new strategies into the recruiting process.
Stays current and regularly shares information on the employment market and sourcing trends for a dedicated geography, demographics and / or function.
Researches understands and implements best practices from the marketplace as appropriate.
- Actively participates in social networking (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the TA team on how to most effectively source and measure social networking channels.
- Researches and recommends new sourcing tools; leads implementation and integration of tools into the department.
- Support Talent Acquisition Partners (TAP) in identifying top talent, supporting high-volume growth plans, and meeting critical time-sensitive deadlines in the support of Enterprise operations.
- Submit all sourcing activity within the ATS system, using guidelines and defined processes to manage applicant and candidate activity.
- Champion the SMSC and SMSC Gaming Enterprise brands and ensures Enterprise is professionally and accurately represented.
