Role Summary As a Sr. Battery Test Technician III specializing in battery test and validation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of our battery systems.
You will collaborate closely with engineers to conduct rigorous testing, analyze data, and validate battery technologies for various applications.
Responsibilities Lead the setup, execution, and analysis of battery performance tests according to established protocols and standards.
Operate and maintain a variety of test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for battery testing, including but not limited to, environmental chambers, cycling testers, impedance analyzers, and voltage / current meters.
Perform troubleshooting and troubleshooting of test setups and equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Develop and document test procedures, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for battery testing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research and development efforts, providing technical expertise and insights into battery performance and behavior.
Generate detailed test reports summarizing experimental procedures, results, and conclusions for internal review and external stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by proposing and implementing enhancements to testing methodologies, equipment, and workflows.
Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in battery testing and validation within a research, development, or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting test equipment and instrumentation commonly used in battery testing (e.g., environmental chambers, cycling testers, impedance analyzers).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets using software tools such as MATLAB or LabVIEW.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety in all testing activities.
Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) and electrical / electronic systems integration is a plus. Pay Disclosure Salary Range for California Based Candidates : $47.
33 / hr. - $59.16 / hr. (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
