Fairview Health Services is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to join our medical imaging department at our M Health Fairview Ambulatory Care Center location in Maple Grove, MN.
The X-ray Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.
Schedule : This position will be working 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the day / evening shift.
This schedule will be as followed generally; Tuesday / Thursday / Friday 7 : 30am-4pm. Weekends will be required as needed.

Maintains patient care :
Performs examinationsIdentifies relevant data from images pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professionalParticipates in crafting a culture of patient safetyDemonstrates knowledge of emergency preparednessVerify patient identification and documentationConnect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of examAchieves quality diagnostic images through accurate patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol.
Ensures patient data integrity :
Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely mannerAccurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archivingParticipates as an active team memberOrients and mentors new employees and studentsParticipates in department / facility process / quality improvement initiativesResponsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for positionCleans and maintains rooms and suppliesProvides coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality to a positive work environmentPerforms other duties as assigned
Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines :
Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working a high level of proficiencyAccepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facilityParticipates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and / or manufacturer recommendations
Qualifications
Required :
- Current ARRT Registration
- BLS - must be current before date of hire and from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Preferred :
- Associate Degree from accredited school
- 1-year experience as a technologist
