Responsibilities :
- Provide legal counsel and support within the bankruptcy group, focusing on real estate matters.
- Handle a diverse caseload of real estate-related issues within bankruptcy cases, including property valuation, leases, foreclosures, and property sales.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide strategic advice on real estate aspects of bankruptcy proceedings.
- Collaborate with bankruptcy attorneys and other legal professionals to develop innovative solutions for complex real estate issues.
- Advise clients on real estate-related implications of bankruptcy proceedings and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Virginia.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Real Estate Attorney, preferably with exposure to bankruptcy matters.
- Strong understanding of real estate law, transactions, property valuation, and bankruptcy proceedings.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
