JOB DESCRIPTION
Department : Ultrasound 001
Shift Timings : 07 : 30 - 16 : 00- Monday to friday (5 days / 8 Hours)
Per Week : 40 Hours
BLS, ARDMS or ARRT equivalent; Call : based on department needs but usually every 3rd weekend, holidays rotating with staff
Experience : Epic, breast, vascular, minor procedures
May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
Responsibilities
The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound studies, demonstrating good judgment in the use and application of ultrasound equipment.
The incumbent assesses the findings in the ultrasound examinations and assists the radiologist and staff physicians in interpreting the ultrasound studies.
Qualifications
BLS and ACLS
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
Requires a minimum of two years of current Ultrasound Tech experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited Sonography program
Active unencumbered Wisconsin Sonography state license
One year of Epic experience

A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
