Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command is seeking a Contract Specialist servicing the Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) in Port Hueneme, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- You will exercise authority for planning and executing the contractual activities within the assigned business unit.
- You will administer orders or contracts by monitoring contract performance, preparing modifications, and determining the necessary course of action to comply with terms and conditions or resolve issues impacting contract performance.
- You will conduct cost analysis (e.g., audit and substantiation of contractor's cost data, economic forecasting techniques, evaluation of corporate structures) to identify cost items properly chargeable to the price under review or analysis.
- You will award contracts using source selection procedures and cost and price analysis.
- You will administer contracts by monitoring performance, preparing modifications, and determining the necessary course of action to comply with terms and conditions.
- You will document reasons for decision and justify basis for award.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's Degree with at least 24 semester hours of business courses
