Position Summary

Financial Services Risk Management Consultant

As a Consultant within our dynamic team, you will gain experience in a variety of enriching projects that include the development and deployment of business strategies, product offerings, operating models, structural changes, technological transformations, and risk management services.

Your industry knowledge will be a valuable asset in serving our clients.

As a Consultant you will have the opportunity to :

  • Participate in identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing business, operational, regulatory, and technology risks, as well as devising mitigation strategies.
  • Acquaint yourself with key technology trends and workforce changes impacting our clients, including cloud computing, big data, AI / ML, and other digital strategies.
  • Assist in the creation of client deliverables and meet internal business needs.
  • Contribute to project teams, liaise with client counterparts, and participate in discussions on work delivery needs.
  • Support the project team in proposing process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and risk reduction.
  • Aid in business development initiatives, including the preparation of industry perspectives and lead generation materials.
  • Contribute to the production of quality work products, individually and as a team, from inception to implementation.
  • Take part in industry discussions on market trends and competitive activities.

Qualifications : Required :

Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services or consulting industry
  • Good relationship management skills
  • Experience in business transformation, regulatory remediation, or change management initiatives
  • Solid project management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred :

  • Familiarity with financial services business models, products, and services
  • Experience with systems related to trading, operations, lending, compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, risk or case management, or data management
  • Experience with process design, mapping, or development; workflow development; user acceptance testing; data mapping, management, migration, or visualization / analytics;

system configuration and testing; status monitoring and issue resolution

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio

Our practitioners assist clients in the design, implementation, and assessment of business operating models with particular focus on enhancing the overall efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of clients’ strategy and operations by leveraging technology and analytics.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;

experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
