The Test Engineer will focus on testing and validating the performance of automotive protection (fuse) solutions and related products.
This includes understanding of technical specification based on customer requirements and executing testing to successfully launch fuses and related products with high customer satisfaction.
This position reports directly to the Mount Prospect, IL Lab Manager.
Responsibilities :
Manages testing and validation activities on New Product Development (NPD) projects.
Acts as the primary point of contact for major validation activities.
Executes electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests in lab.
Thoroughly and accurately documents / reports test results.
Maintains high level of data integrity regarding reporting of test results.
Organizes & communicates results of investigations with internal and external customers.
Supports lab improvement initiatives to increase technical capabilities of the Mt. Prospect laboratory.
Experience :
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and test specifications.
Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and environmental product testing.
Knowledge of statistical techniques to analyze test data.
Up to one year of experience in product testing & validation
Bachelor or university degree in Engineering
