Learning Specialist
Responsibilities
- Oversee and deliver learning programming respective client group(s) or others based on the needs of the business
- As a member of the learning team, support development and design of concurrent learning projects, ensuring individual deliverables and outcomes are identified, executed and evaluated
- Occasionally support with development and delivery of enablement programming to ensure SMEs, Supervisors and / or leadership are prepared to coach and provide colleagues feedback using company tools and resources to achieve job expectations
- Under the direction of a Learning Manager or Supervisor, support delivery of scheduled new hire learning programs to meet the forecasted hiring and staffing needs for client groups
- Support with delivery of applicable technical and systems training for client group(s), ensuring colleagues and leaders leverage technical tools to be effective in role (ex : Google Workspace, CSG, Salesforce;
Actifai, Akleza, Frontline, OneView, Genesys, etc.)
- May be asked to serve as a Learning SME on system or client group projects and initiatives, collaborating and ensuring needs are documented and learning deliverables are completed and evaluated
- Develop client specific learning programing targeted towards building skills and competencies required for current roles and to support future expansion
- Support development and implementation of innovative learning programs for blended or independent learning
- Support in the development of instructor led programs that compliment digital, blended learning materials provided by the Learning Design and Experience team
- Support in the development of client specific job skills resources, using a variety of interactive and innovative learning resources
- Under the direction of a Learning Manager or Supervisor, partner with client stakeholders to ensure training documentation, resources or job aids are up-to-date and cataloged properly.
- Support delivery of TTTs to ensure external vendors are equipped to deliver training requirements to their employees to achieve service level agreements
- Answer learning queries and requests in Learning inbox or on Workday Learning
- Administer and track enrollments and completions of learning courses, offerings and programs in Workday Learning, ensuring accurate reporting of completion, impact and learning KPIs
- Lead content feedback loop to drive ongoing quality improvement to learning programs
- Occasional travel may be required.
In addition to the above, the following are specific responsibilities based on the client group the Specialist may be aligned to :
Design
- Use stakeholder insights, business KPIs, and employee engagement survey results to design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning programs that impact multiple client groups or all colleagues
- Using instructional design tools, build learning programs, courses, and lessons using Articulate360, Camtasia, Biteable, etc.
LMS & Reporting
- Act as SME for Workday Learning
- Support with administration and recordkeeping of learning programming in the workday
- Under the direction of the Director of Learning and Cultural Transformation, support with completion and impact reporting, ensuring KPIs are aligned across all client groups
Sales
Support Learning Managers and Supervisors to design, deliver, and evaluate sales enablement training.
Technical Operations & Safety
- Lead or support Safety programming by providing training, enablement, and program resources to system safety champions to ensure safe workplace practices are upheld and training up to date
- Travel to systems for training delivery is expected for most programming
Qualifications
- 2+ years in a Learning Designer or Trainer role
- 2+ years of experience creating learning programs, training assets, and workshops for client groups (Sales, Care, ASG, Technical Operations, Engineering and / or Corporate Functions)
- Experience with Instructional Design tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia
- Experience with learning management software (preferably Workday)
- Great time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to communicate to all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of various training and teaching methods
- Sound decision-making and organizational skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Great project management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office software or Google Suite tools
- BS degree in Business, Education, Training, HR, or a related field.
