In this role youwill :

  • Participate insoliciting residential mortgages from varioussources
  • Produce high quality jumbo loans whichare compliant and provide excellent customerservice
  • Build relationships focused on affluentborrowers with realtors builders financial professionals bankstores past customers and other nontraditionalsources
  • Develop and maintain a high degree ofvisibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace; stayinformed of mortgage industry trends and developments in theassigned market
  • Present recommendations forproducing loans and exercise some independent judgment whiledeveloping understanding of and adherence to Private MortgageBanking Sales functional area policies procedures compliancerequirements and generating loans
  • Understandreal estate appraisals title reports and real estatetransactions
  • Receive customer applicationsquote the rate and points and complete followup activities with theregistration lockin; analyze and offer mortgage loan products basedon client needs
  • Review and analyze low tomoderately complex financial and credit data; match customer needswith an appropriate loan program and level ofrisk
  • Inform prospective and existing customersof Wells Fargo Home Mortgage programs rates policies underwritingrequirements and loan procedures;

maintain high standard of clientsatisfaction and quality by ensuring timely and proactive customercommunication

  • Pursue Wells Fargo trainingofferings to increase knowledge of company products policies andprocedures and underwriting requirements
  • ThisSAFE position has customer contact and job duties which may includethe offering / negotiating of terms and / or taking an application fora dwelling secured transaction.

As such this position requirescompliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and allrelated regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meetingall such requirements including acceptable background investigationresults.

Individuals in a SAFE position also must meet the LoanOriginator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the jobexpectations below

RequiredQualifications :

2 yearsof Private Mortgage Banking Sales experience or equivalentdemonstrated through one or a combination of the following : workexperience training military experienceeducation

DesiredQualifications :

  • BasicMicrosoft Office skills
  • Documented retailresidential mortgage fundings over the past 12 months referredprimarily from established local externalsources
  • Excellent verbal written andinterpersonal communication skills
  • Mortgageindustry experience
  • Knowledge and understandingof sales prospecting and generatingreferrals
  • Customer serviceexperience
  • Experience working with highnetworth clients

JobExpectations :

Thisposition requires SAFE registration at the time of employment.Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediatelyafter your employment start date.

The Nationwide Mortgage LicensingSystem (NMLS) website ( ) provides the MU4R questions andregistration required for employment in this position.

Individualsin Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer FinancialProtection Bureau qualification requirements and comply withrelated Wells Fargo policies.

The LO qualification requirementsinclude meeting applicable financial responsibility charactergeneral financial fitness and criminal background standards.

Acurrent credit report will be used to assess your financialresponsibility and credit fitness however a credit score is notincluded as part of the evaluation.

Successful candidates must alsomeet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screeningif necessary
