Overview
This individual will assist in the development of Quality Assurance activities related to gauge use and calibration, training, technical writing, and interfacing with internal and external personnel to address quality concerns.
Responsibilities :
- Identify, plan, and help develop Quality and Environmental Systems improvements
- Instruct company personnel on the proper execution of tasks related to Quality and Environmental Management System
- Participate in ISO internal auditing activities
- Ensure master gages are calibrated at proper intervals
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new measurement devices and techniques available
- Ensure the integrity of the calibration and metrology laboratories and the equipment they contain
- Interface with various internal and external groups (manufacturing, engineering, company subsidiaries, suppliers) on issues relating to the Quality and Environmental Management System requirements
Requirements :
- Strong background in metrology or experience working in a metrology lab environment
- Familiarity with the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
- Bachelors Degree in an engineering field
- Interest in seeking additional learning opportunities in quality assurance
- General knowledge of statistical mathematics
- Comfortable with presenting to large groups
- Ability to develop and provide training to others
