General Description :
The Rope Access API Inspector is responsible for the work execution of projects and integrity management programs including field inspections and rope access.
The position requires, visual and NDT inspections, daily planning and direction of inspection crews, coordination of crew activities with the client and maintenance crews, interaction with engineering representatives and review and completion of final inspection and assessment reports.

- Perform inspection projects in assigned service, industrial, construction, and maintenance areas.
- Ensure full utilization of information, procedures, and work methods.
- Perform all tasks according to company and client safety guidelines and participate in weekly and pre-job / daily safety meetings.
- Coordinate with the facility owner / operator and other contractors and project teams on the work site to always maintain an open and cooperative relationship, including during the high stress, high activity levels of TAR maintenance.
- Exhibit commitment to company Quality objectives through full utilization of Quality Management Systems, and by evaluating project related processes and making necessary changes, by using client inputs to make improvements, and meeting and exceeding stakeholder and customer expectations.
- Maintain all relevant documentation, records, and certifications; and develop operational, production and program reports including project close-out reports for clients.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Skilled with computer software including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).
- Knowledge of industrial safety cultures and safety minded.
- Ability to read blueprints, engineers’ drawings, and architectural renderings of facility, plant, and equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Skilled in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication which includes good listening, and the ability to provide clear direction and effective feedback.
- Knowledge of tools used in scope of work.
- Ability to work with facility owners, operators, engineers, and asset reliability and maintenance leaders to build working relationships that lead to successful contract fulfillment and continuation.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications :
- API qualifications for MFL / MFE and / or Bubble Leak Test are preferred.
- Current Level 2 certifications for UT (full), MT, and PT are preferred.
- 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
- NACE, ASME, SSPC, or other relevant industrial certifications is preferred.

All assigned positions are on-call 24 hours / day while on shift or assigned temporarily to another project. Flexibility regarding hours of work is required as needed to meet the demands of the job.
Position may be reassigned at any time to meet operational objectives.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works at the project site. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts;
high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and waste.

Requirements
Required Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Current API 510, 570 or 653 Certification is required.
- Rope Access Certification, Level 1 or greater.

A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee’s ability to perform to the job standard.

- MOBILITY : Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push / pull 20 pounds for 20 feet.
- HEARING : Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
- VISUAL ACUITY : Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
- LIFTING : Must be able to routinely lift up to 20 pounds from floor to waist, 20 pounds from wait level to shoulder height and carry 20 pounds for 20 feet.
- RANGE OF MOTION : An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire / post offer FCE.
