In-House : Assistant General Counsel Consumer Finance Litigation Attorney (4+ yrs)
About the Position :
We are working with an innovative Chicago-based financial technology company that has an immediate need for a consumer finance litigation attorney (4+ yrs) to join its legal team as an Assistant General Counsel.

Responsibilities :
- Oversee the company’s consumer litigation matters, subpoenas, and other disputes, including pre-litigation counseling, fact investigation, discovery, motions practice, and dispute resolution in federal and state jurisdictions
- Support the negotiation and / or drafting of contractual agreements, applying regulatory compliance requirements in legal guidance where applicable
- Identify potential areas of risk with new or existing products and advise on how to mitigate those risks
- Manage outside counsel and operational budgets
Required Qualifications :
- 4 or more years of consumer financial services litigation experience from a law firm and / or in-house legal department
- Experience with laws and regulations applicable to consumer financial services, including Dodd Frank, UDAAP, GLBA, FCRA, FDCPA, and TILA is highly preferred
