Channel Sales Manager
Location : Remote. Locations near the Piedmont Triad area in NC, or large metro areas preferred given the travel requirements of the role.
Job Summary :
The channel sales manager’s responsibility is to be the face of our family of brands for two primary audiences : distribution partners and resellers.
Job Responsibilities :
- Strategic activities include, but are not limited to :
- Conduct onsite and virtual sales engagement activities with reseller and distribution partners
- Qualify strategic opportunities and collaborate internally with PSB territory sales team to win deals
- Represent PSB at industry events and trade shows
- Work with the PSB marketing team to build out a library of content that is shared with our reseller and distribution community
- Implement PSB distribution strategy regarding buy-in, stock rotation, stock levels, and recommend products to sell through distribution
- Manage a small team of remote support staff that handle daily tasks
- Day-to-day activities include, but are not limited to :
- Provide dedicated support to reseller and distribution partners
- Support reseller and distribution sales team during the pre-sales process
- Ensure that relevant selling material, including sell sheets, price lists, and line cards are updated internally, then well circulated within our reseller and distribution network
- Partner with the sales and marketing teams to ensure consistent pricing at distribution and in the channel
- Execute product, brand, and value proposition training with reseller sales teams
- Coordinate territory mapping calls with reseller sales teams
- Floor days and vendor events with resellers and distributors
- Report up to PSB executive team on attach rate, sales, and current initiatives
Required Skills and Competencies :
- Collaborative, results-oriented self-starter with a proven track record of developing OEM and channel partnerships
- Effective in networking and business development
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to critically think on your feet and present well, in person and virtually
- Ability to execute company priorities proactively
- Effective team player with ability to build and maintain relationships
- Ability to work effectively in a home-based environment
- Excellent planning, analytical, and reporting skills
- Proven track record of building a brand within a reseller community
- Experience working with, or at a distribution company is a plus
Job Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years sales experience with channel partners and two-tier distribution sales model
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience running floor days and trade shows
- Experience running territory mapping and pipeline review calls
- Ability to understand data, run reports, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience utilizing Salesforce preferred
- Approximately 60% travel required
