Join a well-established road construction company as a Health & Safety Engineer. In this newly created role, you will have the opportunity to shape safety procedures and champion employee well-being across our client’s organization.
Compensation : $75,000.00 - $125,000.00
Location : Hyde Park, Massachusetts
Responsibilities for the Safety Engineer include :
- Administering and managing health and safety programs
- Inspecting jobsites, training employees, and advising on hazard mitigation
- Building fleet monitoring and telematics program from the ground up
- Reporting and documenting near-misses, accidents, and injuries
- Supporting field operations as needed (attending meetings, taking measurements, providing oversight)
- Potential to grow into risk control, insurance, and claims management
Qualifications of the Safety Engineer include :
- 1-3 years in civil construction or heavy highway safety supervisory role
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid and CPR certifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Valid driver's license
- Unwavering commitment to safety and a keen awareness of risk
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support operations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
