Marcum Search, a talent solutions firm, is recruiting for a NYC client.
Our successful professional client is expanding its forensic accounting group and is looking for a Junior Forensic Accountant who will support handling new and existing assignments as well as help prepare enterprise-wide growth projections.
Candidate will take an active role in assisting the investigations team in various litigation support and investigative accounting settings.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of forensic accounting reports including assisting with analyzing financial and business records.
- Review and participate with analyzing internal controls and fraud risk.
- Travel as needed for assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or forensic accounting.
- Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience in areas of forensic accounting and auditing, financial fraud investigations, litigation support, FCPA investigations (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act), and internal controls / fraud risk assessments, including experience in the construction auditing arena preferred.
- Familiarity with accounting software and forensic accounting principles.
- Spanish speakers preferred.
- Highly proficient in computer skills, including advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- CPA preferred; MBA and / or CFE preferred (not required)
- Audit experience for construction and real estate group is a plus
Minimum Salary : $60,000 Maximum Salary : $70,000
