Our Family Office Services division acts as a centralized coordinating resource for complex, high net worth clients. Associate responsibilities include :
Communicating with ultra-high net worth clients, family members, accountants and attorneys to organize client’s financial affairs and carry out financial activities on their behalf, under the supervision of a Director of FOS
Anticipating and responding to customer or advisor inquiries regarding client’s assets and liabilities, risk management programs, income tax implications of transactions (in consultation with accountants) and estate planning implications of transactions (in consultation with attorneys)
Day-to-day financial management, including bill pay and bookkeeping, fulfillment of capital calls, wire transfers, liquidity monitoring and supervision of team members who assist in performing these tasks
Coordinating the distribution of client tax reporting documents, including interfacing with accountants and investment advisors
Creating and maintaining financial calendars to ensure deadlines are met for the payment of income taxes, insurance premiums, property taxes, LLC filings, credit card bills, utilities and more
Working with client’s attorneys regarding legal matters
Working with client’s insurance carriers regarding claims and minimizing premiums
Working with client’s employer to anticipate compensation, deferred compensation, and monitor RSUs
Administering Private Foundation activities or supervising the outsourced management of Private Foundation activities and Donor Advised Funds.
Grant making and processing personal charitable donations, attaining and tracking tax receipts
Preparing monthly or quarterly net worth summaries, cash flow reports and custom financial reports in Excel and QuickBooks and / or supervising team members who assist in performing these tasks
This position is a management / supervisory position. It will report to the Managing Director of Family Office Services.
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements :
College degree, MBA preferred
5+ years of experience in financial services
Must be well organized, attentive, able to multi task effectively, have excellent attention to detail and complete tasks with a very high accuracy rate
Must have excellent verbal and other communication skills
Proficient in MSOffice, Outlook, Excel, and QuickBooks
Experience with consolidating financial reports
Experience with common estate planning techniques : GRATS, Irrevocable Trusts, Revocable Trusts, ILITs, etc
Experience working with investment subscription documents and gathering / tracking contribution / distribution information
