LHH is looking to fill Director of Accounting with a non-profit organization based in Richardson. The Director of Accounting is primarily responsible for the day-to-day financial functions of the organization, including the management of financial procedures and controls as well as the preparation of timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external constituencies.
This position provides technical and operational support for accounting functions and collaborates with all levels of staff to support the work of the organization.
This role pays 115K-125K. This is a Hybrid role (3 days in office) and offers 8 weeks PTO per year. In addition this organization offers great benefits.
They do have a pension and you will ONLY work 219 days / year.
Responsibilities :
Coordinate monthly and annual close procedures, including monitoring the account reconciliation process (e.g., reviewing reconciliations and associated journal entries for accuracy as well as the trial balance)
Reconciles all bank, trust, custodial, and investment account statements
Oversees the processes of gift entry, accounts payable, vendor payables, disbursements, check processing, and inter-fund transfers, which requires the monitoring of data entry and work flow as well as reconciliations
Partners with Vice President of Finance and Operations in preparing for and coordinating the annual audit, includes the creation of supporting schedules, statements and footnote disclosures
Coordinates with custodian to rebalance pooled investments on a monthly basis; facilitates asset liquidations, transfers, and cash flow requirements
Prepares yearly spending levels for endowment funds
Assists Vice President of Finance and Operations in developing and monitoring the annual budget as well as associated analysis related to organizational financial Prepares and monitors budgets for certain projects and partners
Prepares ad-hoc reports to support the Foundation and other constituencies
Assists reporting to external constituencies, including donor statement preparation for quarterly distribution
Participates in national and regional collaborative efforts which contribute to the advancement of the Foundation and the field in general
Provides support to Vice President of Finance and Operations and performs additional duties as requested
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from four-year college or university required
At least six years related experience in non profit accounting
CPA is required
Prior experience with the Blackbaud product suite a plus
Pay Details : $120,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
