SGI Global (SGI) is currently seeking a Management Consultant for Real Estate / Real Property Management programs for supporting the DoD.
This position will provide oversight, coordination, and support for high level strategic real estate programs across the DoD enterprise.
We are looking for a candidate who has experience leveraging innovative solutions to deliver advanced transactions to improve resilience to infrastructure at a best value to the Department.
This position will provide program, project, policy, planning, and process support and leadership for current and emerging needs.
This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with conceptual design and development, researching authorities, providing value and risk assessment, speed of execution, analysis on current funding mechanisms, assisting in and closeout of projects, implementing lessons learned in support of other similar programs, as well as contributing to leadership briefings / requests - both on programmatic and project levels.
Overview of Job :
- Advise SGI team leads and clients on all aspects of real estate projects, including conceptual design, development, value and risk assessments, and available funding mechanisms
- Recommend and implement strategies, prioritization of efforts, for a best value of real estate transactions for the government
- Provide innovative ideas to optimize land and facilities, and identify potential gains in operational efficiencies from more effective utilization of facilities and land
- Support clients on all aspects of real estate business work, to include (but not limited to) reports, meetings, assessments
- Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data;
- Participate in on-site assessments of property operations;
- Assist in client training sessions;
- Travel, as needed (up to 25%) to potential site visits and strategic locations
Qualifications of the Role :
- Master's degree in real estate, business, finance, public policy or related field preferred;
- 8 years of work experience;
- Secret Security Clearance
- Knowledge of real estate operations
- Basic knowledge of real estate finance (e.g. budget analysis, pro forma development);
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, multitask and work in a fast paced environment;
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (approximately 25% of time)
- Pursuant to Federal contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. Citizens and be able to pass standard government-sponsored credit and background checks.
Some contractors may be required to have elevated security clearances based on the nature of their work
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (e.g. writing reports, developing presentations and speaking in public);
