What's your day like?

As a new Dietary Aide at JGS Lifecare, you can expect a fulfilling daily routine that involves a variety of tasks critical to the care of our residents.

Your day will begin with preparing the kitchen for meal service, ensuring all safety and cleanliness standards are met. You will assist in meal preparation, serve food to residents, and accommodate specific dietary requirements with empathy and attention.

Interaction with residents is key, as you'll be providing them with not just nutritious meals but also companionship. Choose from one of these 40-hour shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 3 PM or 10 : 30 AM to 7 PM, with rotating weekends to support our team and facility.

Additionally, there are opportunities for per-diem staff, allowing for flexible hours tailored to your availability. Embrace the energy and professionalism of our kitchen team as you contribute to the well-being of our residents.

To thrive as a Dietary Aide at JGS Lifecare, several essential skills and attributes will set you up for success. A strong foundation in communication is crucial, as you'll be working closely with residents, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure everyone's needs are met effectively.

Empathy and patience are vital, enabling you to connect with residents and enhance their dining experience. Prior kitchen experience is a plus, as it familiarizes you with food safety protocols and meal preparation techniques.

Familiarity with basic kitchen tools and software for tracking dietary preferences can further aid your performance.
