Job Description
Parking and Transit Services seeks a Systems Support Specialist to understand and troubleshoot parking related hardware / software to ensure effective operations and outstanding customer service to the campus community.
This position provides critical support to end users within the department and assists with the maintenance of the parking system overall.

Essential Duties
- Provides first-level user support for parking systems and handhelds.
- Provides system support that includes configuration and implementation of additional units / modules.
- Assists with the user configuration of all parking systems.
- Supports department initiatives by providing project coordination support scheduling meetings, taking and distributing minutes, follow up on assigned tasks, creating presentations, etc.).
- Works with customers to resolve concerns, respond promptly to their needs, and proactively prepare solutions to potential customer service issues.
- Troubleshoots supported hardware and software configuration and trains staff to address specific issues
- Provides support for building access management for PTS staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree in Information technology or closely related field and two years experience providing first level systems support and trouble-shooting OR any equivalent combination of education and / or experience from which comparable skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Experience maintaining accurate records.
- Experience working with AIMS or other parking software database systems (1 year).
- Experience working with Amano One or other Parking Access Revenue Control Systems (PARCS)
- Experience working with AMP, ParkMobile or other mobile parking pay applications.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to compile and analyze data.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Applications Word, Outlook).
- Experience with Salesforce case management (1 year).
- Evidence of effective communication skills including the use of accurate grammar and spelling.
Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, typing, and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and / or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
- Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
- Activities will include some outdoor / inclement weather duties (10-20%).

Parking and Transit Services (PTS) plays an integral role in support of the development of Arizona State University by managing the parking and commuter options on the four campuses.
PTS manages a 24,+ parking inventory system-wide and strongly encourages the use of more environmentally friendly transportation options by subsidizing programs such as intercampus shuttles, carpool, car-sharing, and public transit.
These services assist ASU students, faculty, and staff in traveling to, around, and between campuses. PTS also provides ambassador and bike valet services to ensure a culture of safety for all pedestrians navigating the most populated campus areas.
