Overview of the Senior Relationship Manager :
The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for cross-functional relationship management and business development within Proxy Services.
This role independently manages a portfolio of existing clients, focusing on the successful coordination and execution of annual and event-driven proxy events, client satisfaction, and relationship building.
The Senior Relationship Manager serves as the primary point of contact for strategic partners and clients, ensuring the delivery of administrative and operational duties.
This role requires experience in cultivating relationships to ensure client retention and service expansion, as well as performing industry research to stay informed about relevant trends, regulations, and the competitive landscape.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Relationship Manager :
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Mediant / BetaNXT procedures and technology, staying current on industry changes and sharing knowledge with the team.
- Onboard clients, coordinate the operational delivery of services within required timeframes, and oversee event analysis through final billing.
- Interface with clients throughout events, providing regular status reports, obtaining necessary documentation, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure successful service execution and client engagement.
- Work closely with strategic partners to coordinate branding, production, and distribution of mailings and digital content, as well as proxy solicitation.
Set up online voting websites and telephone voting systems, ensuring complete communication across all related service providers.
Perform quality assurance tasks, including oversight of print and mailing documents and monitoring hosted websites for functionality and accuracy.
Review service quality standards and service levels.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with client events, ensuring appropriate compliance and transparency.
- Maintain status reports on client activity and feedback, event coverage, solicitation effectiveness, business development via internal platforms and internal reporting systems.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities, coordinate information / quote requests, and support client presentations.
Develop expertise in our business model, strategy, products, and services.
May include developing departmental procedures, process improvement initiatives, and metrics-based reporting based on business priorities.
Skills and Experience of the Senior Relationship Manager :
- 8+ years of Client Success experience in Business Operations or Financial Services.
- 8+ years of Corporate Governance experience.
- Corporate / mutual fund / annuity proxy experience preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to client service excellence.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete detailed tasks within tight time constraints
- PMP certification or similar is a plus.
- Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent research and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; Smartsheet experience is a plus.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel up to 20% for industry events, client meetings, office visits, etc.
