The Carpenter, Cabinet Maker will construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
Essential Job Duties :
- Cut wood and laminate on table saw and with router.
- Build cabinets and displays from engineered drawings using screw and nail guns.
- Perform quality workmanship as a precision builder.
- Read and interpret drawings.
- Generate own cut lists of wood and laminate to completion of project.
Skills / Abilities :
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Proven success taking direction and following instructions.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Team Player.
- Attention to detail.
- Possess basic set of hand tools.
- Dependable.
- Self-motivated.
Education / Experience :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Carpentry / Laminating : 3-5 years
- Trade Show experience a plus
Physical Requirements :
- Heavy physical effort may include lifting, walking, stopping, kneeling, crouching or crawling may be required.
- Normal vision abilities required including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
