Assist supervisory attorney and other legal support professionals with patent transaction diligence. Research patent family information in Derwent, the USPTO, WIPO, and various other international patent databases and assist with the completion of patent family mappings and other project-related deliverables.
Review patent assignments and related documentation to verify patent ownership. Correspond with outside counsel and business representatives as needed.
IT Core Competencies :
Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Office Suite; Experience with Derwent Innovation and the USPTO preferred.
Required Competencies :
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and related software. Understanding of and familiarity with patent basics and ability to conduct bibliographic research related to patents and patent applications.
Strong verbal and written communications skills and keen eye for detail.
