Electronics Assembler - 1st shift

Location : Milwaukee, WI - This position is not on a bus line.

Come join a company that specializes in and is known as Milwaukee's Electronics Experts! We are seeking a Level 2 Electrical Assembler to join 1st shift.

Shift Hours :

1st shift : 6 : 30am-3 : 00pm Monday-Friday

Pay Rate : $19.00-20.00 / Hour

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following(Other duties may be assigned) :

• Produce quality product with manual assembly processes such as stuffing, hand assembly, mechanical assembly, soldering (lead and lead-free), as well as some rework capabilities.
• Inspect to workmanship standards
• Test electronic assemblies.
• Follow appropriate quality policies and procedures.
• Perform work to appropriate efficiency and utilization standards.
• Practice and participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities, supporting change and identifying ways to improve processes and efficiency.
• Build product as directed by Team Leader / Supervisor.
• Actively participate in work group / team activities, as an enthusiastic, positive and dependable team member.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and environment.
• Provide input to problem solving process and possess good communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
• The work performed in this job can only be done on site and attendance is an essential function of the job.

Education and / or Experience :

High school diploma or GED required. A minimum of one year experience in the electronics industry required.

Language, mathematical and reasoning skills :

Ability to read, speak, and understand English to enable clear communication and comprehension of internal company documentation.

Basic math skills required to add, subtract, multiply, & divide. Basic understanding of & ability to read performance graphs.

Able to understand and determine product quality to written documentation.

Other Requirements :

• Able to perform basic data entry transactions.
• Must achieve a passing score on the IPC Component Identification course.
• Must achieve a passing score on the IPC Workmanship standards exam.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this position, employee may be seated or standing, based on their work station. Employee is occasionally required to stand and / or walk;

Employee must frequently use hands to point, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms, lift and / or move up to 10 pounds.

Vision requirements include : close & distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
