Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community organizations to develop and implement interventions and support plans
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and strengths
- Advocate for students' rights and access to resources and services
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress
Requirements :
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
- State of Michigan Social Work license (LMSW or LCSW)
- Knowledge of local and state regulations governing social work services in schools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality requirements
Local and State Requirements :
- State of Michigan Social Work License (LMSW or LCSW)
- Completion of required background checks and clearances
- Compliance with state regulations for school social work services
