Job Description : We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience working specifically with cutting fiberglass.

This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and a strong understanding of fiberglass materials and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities :

• Material Preparation :
• Select and cut fiberglass mats and resin according to project specifications.
• Measure and mix resin and hardeners accurately to achieve desired consistency.
• Mold Setup :
• Prepare and maintain molds for fiberglass layup, ensuring they are clean and properly treated for easy release.
• Apply mold release agents as necessary.
• Fiberglass Layup :
• Lay fiberglass materials in molds, ensuring even distribution and proper alignment.
• Apply resin using brushes, rollers, or spray guns, ensuring thorough saturation of materials.
• Curing Process :
• Monitor the curing process to ensure optimal conditions, including temperature and humidity.
• Trim excess material and perform initial finishing processes once cured.
• Quality Control :
• Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
• Conduct tests on samples to verify strength and durability.
• Assembly and Repair :
• Assemble fiberglass components into final products as per engineering specifications.
• Perform repairs on damaged fiberglass components as needed.
• Safety Compliance :
• Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Documentation :
• Maintain accurate records of materials used, production quantities, and any issues encountered during the fabrication process.

Requirements :

• Technical Skills :
• Proficient in fiberglass fabrication techniques, including hand layup and spray-up methods.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in fiberglass fabrication, such as mixing tools, brushes, and cutting equipment.
• Attention to Detail :
• Strong focus on precision and quality control to ensure high standards in finished products.
• Problem-Solving Abilities :
• Ability to troubleshoot fabrication issues and adapt techniques as needed.
• Physical Stamina :
• Capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
• Communication Skills :
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with team members and supervisors.
• Safety Awareness :
• Knowledge of safety practices related to working with chemicals and heavy materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in fiberglass fabrication or composite materials is preferred.
• Previous experience in fiberglass fabrication or a related field is a plus.

Pay Rate : $23 - $26 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
