Penetration Specialist
At Gordon Food Service, our customers come first. As a Penetration Specialist, for Independent Food Service Sales you will Identify existing divisional customer targets with growth opportunities, develop a process to maintain visibility, and build relationships with decision-makers to foster future business opportunities and retention.
Develops profitable growth with identified customers,, including matching existing business growth opportunities with current service capacity, while maximizing the GFS value proposition.
What will you be doing?
Researching industry and market trends impacting independent restaurateurs within your territory
Identifying and researching prospective customers within your territory
Developing sales strategies that highlight products, services, values, and solutions offered by Gordon Food Service and presenting the sales strategy to prospective customers
Creating and presenting professional presentations for potential new customers
Reports monthly to the leadership team regarding current and potential customer activities and developments.
Maintain knowledge of segment through industry magazines and local culinary organizations.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma / GED is required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing, and / or culinary certificate preferred
4 or more years of prior sales, business, or food service experience
Maintaining a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record
Ability to obtain your food safety certification
