Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to perform conventional engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.
This is an onsite role that sits at our Medley, Florida site.
May be eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities :
Applies basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.
Prepare plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP support studies, factory cost work standards and assignments of similar complexity and magnitude.
Conducts analysis or tests pertaining to the development of new methods, materials, processes or standards and provides recommendations accordingly.
Analysis of Engineering data and change notices to create manufacturing Bill of Materials and routings for various product lines.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications / Experience Needed :
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws / regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Preferred Qualifications :
Prior engineering experience working within a manufacturing or assembly environment is preferred.
Prior experience with composites and / or fabrication is preferred.
Process Improvement / Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred.
