Job Title : Senior Quality Assurance Automation Tester
Duration : Through 6 / 30 / 2025 with potential for annual renewal
Location : Everett, MA 02149 (Hybrid, 1 day a week onsite)
Summary :
The Senior QA Automation Tester will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation frameworks and test suites for web-based applications.
This role includes collaborating with QA and project teams to define, develop, and execute test plans, with a focus on automation.
The candidate will analyze applications to build a QA automation process and framework from scratch, working efficiently under tight deadlines.
A self-motivated team player, the tester will help enhance the overall QA team's capabilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, and database testing.
- Design and implement automation strategies and test plans.
- Automate test cases using tools like Playwright, integrating with CI / CD pipelines.
- Conduct API, backend, integration, and regression testing.
- Collaborate with teams to implement and maintain automation tools.
- Utilize Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, Xray, and cloud-based technologies.
- Perform black-box, white-box, and exploratory testing.
- Use SQL for database validation and querying.
Qualifications :
- 8+ years of experience in automation testing.
- Extensive experience with test automation frameworks, scripting in JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Expertise in tools like Playwright (Selenium experience is a plus).
- Proficient in API testing and SQL querying.
- Experience with CI / CD tools and cloud environments.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
Additional Skills (Preferred) :
- Experience in DevOps, DataWarehousing, and testing public-facing web applications.
- Strong "can-do" attitude, able to adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced environments.
