JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title : School Psychologist Practicum
Location : TBD
Department : Special Education
Summary :
Practicum students will receive supportive training and supervision from experienced licensed school psychologists while obtaining school-based experiences with the following :
- Observing and participating in the special education eligibility process including assessment, report writing, interpreting assessment data at meetings, and completing IEP paperwork
- Observing and participating in social-emotional learning activities including counseling, social academic instructional groups, and social skills training
- MTSS and PBIS tiered services including progress monitoring, multi-disciplinary consultation, problem-solving, and academic, SEL, and behavioral interventions
- Practicum students will benefit from involvement in a learning community actively engaged in diversity, equity, and inclusion work.
Qualifications :
Completion of at least 1 year of a School Psychology Specialist or doctoral program and any university-specific requirements for a graduate assistantship during the 2024-2025 school year.
