Skilled Freezer Operator - Only candidates with a resume or complete previous and current work experience will be considered.

As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation and participation in startup, operation, changeover and shutdown of operating equipment.

The Skilled Production Freezer Operator is responsible for placing frozen product into totes and / or palletizing frozen product in a fast-paced environment under very cold temperatures .

Shift hours : Mostly hiring on Night Shift

• Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Must be able to work up to 48 hours a week Sunday Saturday
• Currently hiring for both day shift and night shift
• 12 Hour shifts-AM Shift : 6am 6 : 30pmPM Shift : 6pm 6 : 30am
• You will be assigned to a crew that works in a rotating on-off pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off
• You will work 4 consecutive weeks of 48 work hours and then four consecutive weeks of 36 work hours, and then repeat.
• Pay averages out to 42 work hours or 44 regular pay hours a week over the 8-week work cycle.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay :

• $21.42 per hour
• Additional $0.75 per hour for hours worked on night shift.
• $500 bonus payable at 90 days

Zero degrees or lower temperatures in freezer. Cold weather gear will be provided.Must be able to palletize product and layer stacks up to five feet, place cover on and shrink wrap.

Must be able to read and write to understand the HU’s, complete tote and case counts and to receive ongoing training.Ability to maneuver product within freezer to fill the space to its capacity.

Must be able to utilize a forklift or electric pallet jack.This position will have responsibilities that include machine operation, quality checks, complete paperwork, using electronic devices such as a computer or handheld scanner, general production duties and team member rotations.

This position may be cross trained to assist in other Skilled Operator positions working in mixing, packaging, or assist in other areas of the plant as assigned to do so Must be willing to assist in other areas of the plant as assigned to do so.

What you have to offer :

• Minimum of a high school education or GED
• 6 months or more of experience in a manufacturing / production environment preferred
• Must be able to operate a manual and electric power jack
• Must be able to use a computer

Physical requirements :

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
• Ability to climb and / or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
• Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair / beard net and gloves when required
• Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions
• Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
• Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
